Poker Fundraiser for Katrina

A while back I said that I was going to get a poker tournament going, but I've been too busy with this GoDaddy business. Plus I'm having trouble finding a site that lets me control my own poker tournaments so I'm thinking about writing my own software. (Kyle I heard that you started a project like that before. Contact me if you still have the code.) Anyway, until that gets going, I have another poker tourney that I think we should join.

PokerStars is sponsoring four big tournaments to raise money for Hurricane Katrina. Wil Wheaton started this whole thing and posted information about it on his blog.

  • September 12, 2005 @ 9:30 PM EDT — $5
  • September 14, 2005 @ 9:30 PM EDT — $20
  • September 15, 2005 @ 9:30 PM EDT — $50
  • September 16, 2005 @ 9:30 PM EDT — $100

All of them are No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout tourneys. All the trouney fees go to hurricane relief and will be matched by PokerStars. There are a bunch of prizes for the final table, etc too.

Anybody interested? I was thinking about entering the $5 tourney. The only problem is that's the night of my bday so I don't know if I'll be doing anything or not.
