Blog By Email
Various different blog software solutions have had the ability to accept posts via email, but it's sometimes difficult to set up depending on your hosting situation. There's a new service out called blogmailr that aims to take that difficulty away. You send them an email with your post and they use the webservices on your blog to make the post. It's a bit indirect, but as long as it's speedy, most people won't care. I can immediately see a few benefits:
- Everyone knows how to write an email, but they might be intimidated by a web browser interface or Windows Live Writer.
- This should allow you to blog from behind any firewall or proxy.
- It's an easy solution for blogging from PDA's and phones.
If you fit into one of those categories, check out blogmailr. Personally, I'm going to stick with Windows Live Writer, but I like the idea.
