Contest #2

I got confirmation in the mail that my license plate has been approved, and I should receive the plate in six to eight weeks. Which one did I pick? MMMSNOW!

It's time to fire up another contest. Since 95% of my brain is currently dedicated to planning ski related items, this contest will be about skiing. When I ski, I have an altimeter watch that keeps track of how many vertical feet I ski during the day. To enter this contest, send me an email with your guess for the total number of vertical feet I will ski on my first day of skiing. Right now it looks like my first day on the slopes will be Saturday at Crystal Mt. I'll announce the winner after I figure out the altimeter results and sift through the entries.

Rules:

  • In honor of Bob Barker's pending retirement, this will work like the Price Is Right. The closest guess without going over wins. If everyone goes over, the lowest guess will win.
  • You are guessing the total number of vertical feet that I will ski in my first day of skiing. If you need a ballpark hint, I have listed the vertical feet I skied each day last year.
  • Please do not leave your contest entry in the comments. Somebody will enter a guess one foot higher than you, and you'll have very little hope of winning.
  • Contest entries must be received by Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:59PM Pacific time.
  • Contest is open to anyone in the continental US (unless you want to pay for shipping.)
  • [UPDATE] If more than one person has the correct guess, I will randomly draw one name to win the prize.

Prize:

You'll have your choice of a Studio711 coffee mug, a Microsoft "Geeks Rule" t-shirt, or an XBox 360 t-shirt. If you know who Speedo Schwartz is, then I'll let you pick something from the Ticawa store.

Good luck!
