The first day back from a vacation like this is tough. I've spent the past 5 days stuffing my face. There were three meals a day plus snacks in between and munching in between snacks. I forgot how long it is between lunch and dinner when you're not snacking. I'll be ending my 6 hour fast in style with a trip to the BK Lounge to pick up another one of their $4 XBox games.
Last week I headed over to Spokane for Thanksgiving with the Scherschels. It's about a four hour trip to the eastern side of the state, and the drive was fairly interesting as I had never seen the desert on the other side of the mountains. I won't recap every single day, but the whole trip was full of fun. There was great food, a couple rounds of Settlers of Catan and Solar Quest, a money winning trip to the casino, indoor putt-putt, and loads of fresh powder skiing at Mt. Spokane. A big thanks goes out to the Scherschels for inviting me into their home for the holiday. Hopefully they'll let me back in the door around New Years when Rachel, Luke and David are there!
