Old Spice
The same marketing company that got me hooked up with the Blockbuster subscription have sent me some more goodies. I'm currently reviewing the new line of Old Spice body spray and their deodorant. The package arrived about two weeks and I've had some time to collect opinions and gather feedback. Here are my thoughts and conclusions in convenient bulleted format for your reading pleasure:
- I generally prefer gel deodorant, but the solid stick has been working well. It came in very handy on the recent trip to Maine since I only travelled with a carry on and gel deodorant is against the rules.
- I received two types of body spray: Aqua Reef and After Hours. I've let numerous people smell both and After Hours has been the unanimous winner.
- Old Spice has been at this for a long time (almost 70 years) so you have to figure they know what they're doing.
- At $3.79 a can, it's not much of an investment to see if you like it.
- The packet I received pointed to the Old Spice commercials hosted on YouTube. Kudos to a company who isn't afraid to use new technology in their marketing. (Videos here here and here)
I can't bring myself to wear it every day, but I have been known to spray some on before heading out to dinner. I haven't found myself surrounded scantily clad women yet, but maybe it's because I haven't been playing a piano.
