It's finally public. People have been speculating for months and years about the iPhone from Apple. But that's over now because Steve Jobs just got on stage at MacWorld to officially announce it.

There's no getting around the fact that the device looks sexy. The whole thing is a touch screen, it's super thin, and it seems pretty powerful - nice web browser, good looking apps, wifi, 2 megapixel camera, etc. The downsides are that you're going to shell out $499 for the 4GB version and $599 for the 8GB version (both prices require a two year contract), and you'll also have to use Cingular as your provider.

It's hard to ignore this product because of the price. Obviously that will come down in the future. I'm not going to get one, but it sure makes me raise an eyebrow. My Zune and Motorola Q just got a little less cool. [via Engadget]

[UPDATE] Link to tech specs. Thanks Kyle.

[UPDATE] Fixed the post to say MacWorld, not CES. Thanks KevinW.

Beauty and the Geek started it's third season last week. If you missed it, don't worry, because it's not too late to jump in. The show airs Wednesday nights on The CW (previously called WB) at 8/7c. The basic premise is that a geek pairs up with a beauty and they form a team that tries to make it through the season. Each week there is a challenge that involves each person doing some task normally out of their comfort zone. Typically the geeks are put in social situations and the beauties have to do something involve brain cells. The winning team gets to pick two other teams who have to go into some type of showdown to see who gets eliminated. The show does perpetuate stereotypes, but it's generally hilarious.
