I went to see Pirates 3 this weekend and was impressed. But one thing ran through my head for the whole movie: where is the outrage from the pirate community? In these movies, pirates have been portrayed as bumbling drunks who loot and pillage on a whim. Shouldn't somebody be offended by this movie? Maybe pirates and are the two social groups that can be poorly portrayed in movies without anyone getting mad. Hmm... we should make a movie where pirates fight .
Kudos to the people who worked on this trilogy. The first two have grossed $1.7 billion (with a B) worldwide. This movie could break the Lord of the Rings trilogy sales mark of $2.9 billion.
