Is that one of those things that parents get tired of hearing? Hmm... well I'm the uncle so I don't have to abide by society's rules. I think he should be rocking a mullet right now.

I've talked about starting a podcast for a long time and now the wait is finally over. This weekend, Tim and I shot some video for the first episode. The topic of this show is a new computer program called Joost.
I've already learned a lot from making a single episode. Watching yourself on videotape is simultaneously embarrassing and informative. There were plenty of technical difficulties as well. Our original shooting location was much more exciting. We had the little kid who purposely walked directly through the shot and a crowd of about 20 people who were gathered around to watch us film. As soon as you set up a couple tripods, cameras and microphones, people think you know what you're doing. Little did they know how unimportant the taping really was. Unfortunately, the camera malfunctioned on the first taping (dirty video head which I was able to clean later) and our second camera didn't have a memory card in it. Oops. So we walked down the street to a local park and shot with the cloud covered mountains in the background.
I have a big list of great ideas for future episodes. These are a ton of work so I don't know how often they will come out, but I'm hoping to have at least two a month. There is a new category called "Burble" in the menu bar on the left. Clicking that will show you all the past episodes. You'll be able to watch them all on the site via Flash, or you can add the RSS feed to your podcast aggregator.
