The good guys over at the Blockbuster marketing department have sent me a cool doodad. This one is specifically for The Weinstein Company movies. You get to see some behind the scenes footage for their upcoming movies. It sounds like it's going to change through the weeks as the new movies are released so you can come back to this post later if you want to see the new content.
If you click on "Exclusive Footage" you get to see a little documentary about great car chases. Tarantino plus car chases? Sounds like a win. I added Death Proof to my queue.
Luke continues his domination. Can anybody stop him? On the other end of things, Dad continued his winless streak but it wasn't really his fault this week. He scored the second most points in the league but ran into The Mountains.
- The Eagles had 473 yards of offense against the Lions -- in the first half.
- San Francisco has a winning record despite being outscored.
- Carolina staged an 80-yard touchdown drive on which 67 yards were penalties against Atlanta.
- Defending NFC champion Chicago has two offensive touchdowns in three games this season.
- Bonus college stat: Syracuse and Louisville combined for 978 yards passing and 115 yards rushing. More on the Syracuse game at tothemancave.com
- Winners this week were Luke, Ed, and Jim.
- I searched for a picture of Brian Westbrook. I wanted to post a picture of the ugly jersey he wore when he scored 42.6 points, but this was the first result so I used it instead.
- Endzone Dance Award: Jim scored the most points this week. 162.44.
- This Isn't Golf Award: I had the lowest score of not just the week, but the entire season. 70.70.
- Put Me In Coach! Award: Luke didn't need the points, but he benched Ronnie Brown who had a great game: 44.10 points. He found the endzone three times!
- Crystal Ball Award: Nobody even came close to starting the right team. Four of you were three players away and that's as good as it got.
- Deadbeat Award: Technically Tim gets the award this week. He realized while we were camping that he forgot to start somebody in place of the injured Andre Johnson. We tried to fix it over my phone but we couldn't get it to work. Then again, the 0 points he point up was better than the negative points I got from Drew Brees. Ouch.

[UPDATE] I forgot to answer a question about the playoffs. This league is set up so that all 6 teams make the playoffs since we have such a small league. The playoffs take place during weeks 14-16 which is the end of the regular NFL season. It's good to be ranked in the top 2 going into the playoffs because you'll get a bye the first round of the playoffs. From the main league screen above the current standings, there is a button that says Playoffs. Click that to see what the playoff schedule would be if they started now. Teams that lose in the playoffs continue to play for places 3 through 6. The good news for this league is that even if you don't win a single game, you could still win the league championship.
Chelsea, Tim and I headed for Ocean Shores State Park this weekend for what is likely the last camping trip of the year. We set up late on Friday night and had a quick campfire before bed. Saturday morning we walked on the beach and then spent the afternoon riding mopeds. In Washington, the beach is a highway so there are cars out on the hardpacked sand (and stuck in the not so hard sand.) You can ride mopeds out there as well so we took full advantage of the opportunity. On Saturday night, we were joined by Cheryl, Joe, and Lisa. After a second chilly night, we woke up on Sunday for an hour long horse ride on the beach.
It was an action packed weekend, but the weather cooperated and I think we all had a great time. Pictures are posted in the gallery.
