Michael Phelps
So Michael Phelps was caught using a bong. While I’ve never done that and probably never will, I think this is all being blown way out of proportion. He did break the law so there should be some penalty, but should he lose all his sponsors and be crucified in every news story? He got a DUI after the last Olympics, and to me, that’s orders of magnitude worse than weed, yet how many people remember that? If we’re going to get mad at every public figure who uses marijuana, then we are not going to be left with any public figures.
Cigarettes are legal, marijuana is illegal, and it’s ok to say you’ve smoked weed as long as there is no picture of it happening. How does this all make sense?
